“I couldn’t dream of anything better”
Corvette Racing is not taking part in the world championship so the American team will have only two opportunities to shine on the international scene. At Sebring and Le Mans, 20-year-old Jordan Taylor (Wayne’s son) will complete the Magnussen-Garcia driver line-up.

What role has your father played in your career?
He’s always around to help me whether it’s for what’s happening inside or outside the car. Whether it's talking with media and sponsors, or interacting with the team, he’s the right guy. He gave me the desire to race at Le Mans as he always says that his category win in 1998 (Ferrari 333SP) is his best memory.  He’s so fascinated by this race that he’s given me a list of all the challenges I have to overcome to finish.”

Have you tested the Corvette C6.R?
I’ve driven the Corvette twice now. Once at Sebring and another test at Sears Point (before the Sebring Winter Tests). It is an extremely nice car to drive, very well balanced. My teammates are great. When comparing data with them after a session, you can always learn new things from their driving style and experience.

What are your goals this season?
I really enjoy racing sports cars, and I’m very happy to be where I am right now. I couldn’t dream of anything better. I think we can pull off a coup. Of course I would like to win all three races (he’ll also do the Petit Le Mans), but I have to be realistic!”
