You’ve dreamed of it, Le Mans Racing has published it!
The 3-volume Le Mans 24-Hours encyclopedia, awarded the Prix Bellecour, is still available.

packageJean-Marc Teissedre, Christian Moity and Alain Bienvenue were the authors of the 2-volume history published in 1992 by Editions Barthélemy, and they decided to pool their knowledge and combine their efforts to produce this amazing book consisting of three volumes of 512 pages each, and 4000 photos (80% unpublished), figures that are totally in keeping with the Le Mans legend. It costs 300 euros, or 1000 euros for the prestige version so it is a good investment.

Given his in-depth knowledge of the era, Christian Moity was asked to write the texts up till the end of the 60s. Alain Bienvenue took over from the 70s till today, while Jean-Marc Teissedre was entrusted with the job of selecting the photos. The fourth musketeer was Michel Bonté who wrote the introduction. David Waldron did the English translation. The Académie Bellcour rewarded their titanic efforts with first prize.
